Old Ads that made me laugh and/or go "Um . . . Lawd!" Random Photos/Vids/Links

oh dear

Er . . . *sigh*

 LAWD!
Oh lawdy gawd!

Speechless!

*snort*

This commercial was so creepy, I wasn't even sure this ad was real:

A little more 'serious" for our links:

Miz Tartitude (Jan O'Hara) wrote a post that made me laugh! I want to write my own now. Her Gadzooks! Time for a Game of Crit Eeks!

And Angie (Gumbo Writer) and I are proud to announce our Rose & Thorn Journal winter issue went live January 15. Go by and check out the prose, poetry, and our cover art. We're excited about this issue and count it as one of our favorites. You can click on the cover art to enter the issue or above where it reads "Journal" - hope you enjoy!

Now, y'all have a great day and I'll see you on Friday. (Sundays are my "blog walking" days - I hope to do that every Sunday as I enjoy visiting you all - I'm busy working on VK III and will have to really be serious now to make my deadline . . .)

Hey,

I have a question for the webmaster/admin here at tendergraces.blogspot.com.

Can I use part of the information from your post above if I provide a link back to this website?

Thanks,
Charlie

The past is another planet, for sure. Funny but a little frightening.

The things we grow up with
Normal from years back
Creepy by today that is normal
Where is the standard of standards
What will be the oxymoron today
Creepy tomorrow

Past has a circular path
Where to get off or on

My how times have changed. I wonder how the world will view our current ads in a few decades.

The laughing doll is Stephen King material for sure!

I agree with others in wondering what we are doing today that 50 years from now will seem equally egregious.

I am really enjoying the winter issue and NOT just because I'm in it. :)

Hi Kat .. I was going to post about the ads I found in the Guidebooks I recently posted about .. and probably will still do .. but these are fun - times have so changed haven't they?! Revolvers and cigarettes .. and a Kenwood Chef - brilliant tool!

Great to see and the laughing baby .. oh oh .. thanks gave me a chuckle - Hilary

Magnificent stuff, those ads, even the creepy and totally wrong ones. Sometimes, it's good to have historical artifacts just to show us how little we knew and that, perhaps, we might think the same of our current state in 25 or 30 more years.
