Just Photos . . . Walk about in Haywood County & My Cove

As I walk about I think of my nephew today - killed in a training exercise for the Marines . . . thinking of all of those who serve - those who come back and those who never will . . .

GMR drew this :-D

PS - I tried to visit some of you yesterday, but Blogger, or something in my browser?, would not let me comment; I finally had to give up in frustration! Anyone else having problems; if so, I know it's not my browser but instead blogger.

Have a great Memorial Day.

Regarding Blogger, it is not your fault. There has been a change which, unless the blog has selected the pop-up window for comments in the blog's settings, one can only comment as Anonymous. It is terribly annoying. Many of those who realized this have changed their settings, but not all. And I remind myself that this is a free service so I can't get that bent out of shape, but while I was figuring out what to do, I was spitting bullets.

Okay, that's my rant for the day. Sorry.

Beautiful pictures! I love that part of the country and have visited there many many times over the years.

I also wanted to say that somebody recommended your book Sweetie to me and after reading it had to have more....I have loved each book!

I have already recommended your books to several friends.

Thanks!

Such absolute beauty in these photos, though I know if I were to try and describe what I see here, there are no words that might prove adequate. Ah, such is the perfection of nature.

So sorry about your nephew, Kat. I well know this pain and it is a difficult thing to make peace with. My own beloved nephew, Justin (Lcpl USMC) died on May 29 in a car accident only a handful of days after returning safely home from Iraq. Such things of life truly make Memorial Day a great deal more meaningful...and melancholy.
