Lawdy lawdy me -- I'm home, but it's 1:15 in the afternoon and I'm in my jammies, in bed, with my laptop, propped up against a big fuzzy blue back rest that we call the cookie monster. I'm feeling wore out and sore and full of holes, but, so glad because it could have turned out much worse if that thang had ruptured, which apparently it was on its way to doing.
I'll be back soon with more, but wanted to come in here for just a moment and say I am overwhelmed with gratitude and happiness at reading your comments, and yes, I've read everyone of them....thank you friends - this means so much to me, brought smiles to me, and made me feel much better.
Now, I'm going to do as the doc warned me to do and take it easy for a couple of days.
*muwah* and hugs to all of you and thank you for your well-wishes, thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and everything.
I hope this post makes sense. Anesthesia does a number on my pea-brain.
And Angie . . . thank you, *smiling*

So glad to hear your sweet voice again! Get plenty of rest and don't worry about us. Somehow, we'll get by without you for a few days. (We'll just lean on Angie a little more!) Hugs, my friend.
Kathryn, I'm glad you're feeling better. So glad it was not worse! I had the same thing happen to me last summer! I remember the anesthesiologist standing over me saying,"Wierd, we've had like 6 women 'your age' with appendicitis this week which is kinda unusua--blah-guuuhh--" Lights out! But I do remember that crack about my age... Humph. Our appendii (ixes)(??) are every bit as moody as twenty year olds' thank you very much! So, anyway, Kathryn, just wanted to let you know the recovery from that is so amazingly quick with Laporoscopy. Feel better soon! But in the meanwhile, take it easy!
Make the most of your time out, and enjoy PJ time to the full! xxx
Thank goodness you took yourself off to the hospital. Take it easy, enjoy your time with the Cookie Monster, and just imagine how well you'll be able to write about recovering from an operation should the need arise! X
Oh my goodness! Get well soon, and enjoy the time to relax.
Glad you're okay! Now REST! You must rest!
Dear Kat, We met a couple of years ago at Marilyn's and now I'm pals with Angie. Hope you're feeling better. Who knew the e-zine editing could bring on appendicitis?! hugs! Joey
Just hopped over from Angie's blog to wish you a very speedy recovery. Listen to the doctors and get as much rest as you can (if you're anything like me...you need that reminder). So sorry you missed your signing...but there will be others I'm sure!
Glad you are back home and on the mend. Take good care of yourself - blogging does take energy!!!
Hi Kathryn,
Hopped over from Angie Ledbetters. So glad your home and sending prayers your way for speedy recovery.
Blessings*
Glad u r home.
God bless!
I missed your other post. glad everything went well and you are home now. REST!!
It's SO good to get you back. Your voice is one I miss. But rest up! Follow those orders. Or we'll all be after ya. *hugs*
Oh, I just read this at Angie's and I'd like to add my get well soon wishes too!
Yes, be sure and get plenty of rest!
:)
Only you, my sweet friend, would mistake a horrible appendix for sympathy pregnancy. You are so quick to dismiss yourself! Now, take care. Let GMR work his magic and you heal.
Welcome home, Kat. Do you notice that we are all nagging you to rest? If you give GMR any trouble, he'll have no problem recruiting a team to hold you down. ;>)
p.s. Do you get to have lots of ice cream after an appendectomy, or is that just for tonsils?
So glad you're back and on the mend. Enjoy your down time, if you can. Don't rush the healing. Love.
Welcome back. You gave us a scare (why book two of the Virgina Kate saga was in serious jeopardy there).
Knowing you're home safe and resting, I can now relax too!
Glad to hear you're better now. I know it's hard to just rest and take it easy but make yourself! It's a good chance to catch up on your reading.
Welcome home! I'm working on that big RAVE. Dang. That is one GREAT book. I'll try to be a tad more eloquent in the actual RAVE.
