Drum roll pul-leeeze: the winner is.....ANGIE LEDBETTER, Gumbo Writer. Who was scaringly close and I'm beginning to think she has magical powers or something. Angie's comment below reads, "If I win, I'll pass on Deb's good book to another blogger since I've read and loved it" - so, Angie, I'll have a signed copy mailed to you, and from there its yours to do as you please!
OCEAN Magazine remains one of my favorite places not only to submit my work (she's published my photography, essays, poetry, and a short story), but one of my favorite magazines. Diane Buccheri, publishing editor, does what she does for our oceans - to protect them, honor them. Stop by. Leave a comment, visit and comment on the OCEAN blog. Support. Submit.
I just found Library Thing, and signed up.
I'd love to include some blogs, like when I was reading Barry's blog about how his parents met (War Brides) and up to when he met his wife. I come across so many compelling, funny, poignant, and well-written posts, I'd love to link to them here on Fridays. Any suggestions from y'all would be wonderful - it's hard to pick from all the gooey good stuff out there.
That's it for now! The next book for my book give-a-way is a brand new-unread- but unsigned, copy of: Paulo Coelho's "BRIDA." I'll have a new contest beginning soon.
Here are the guesses - if I missed you, please point that out!

It's cold here too. My furnace has died the last two days. Wouldn't you think they could find out why? Yeah, me too.
Stay warm and have a great weekend.
Brrr...I feel for you. Freezing here in PA also. Congrats to Angie on the contest and congrats for Roses and Thorns ezine. *I had cast in my vote for the fiction category.*
Well, hot dayum! Can't believe I won. Kat, we're obviously sharing one brain, so that explains my mental fogginess. :) How about this? .....
THE FIRST PERSON WHO COMES TO MY BLOG, GUMBO WRITER, AND PUTS IN COMMENTS-- "I HEART TENDER GRACES" WILL BE THE AUXILLARY WINNER OF OUR FRIEND DEBORAH LEBLANC'S BOOK?! (I have 2 signed copies of my very own and loved the book.) So, come on y'all, hop over and claim Water Witch for your very own. :)
Love ya, Kat!
Laughing - you crack me up Angie - BUT GET OUTTA MY HEAD *laughing *- not really, you can stay in my head all you want to! I could do much worse....
Debbie - OMG - eek - it's COLD!
T'anky Michelle!
What a great and generous quote from your book today, Kathryn.
The ending was both shocking and hilarious!
Thanks for the link to my humble blog. Much appreciated.
Stay warm!!
Teehee - Micah is something else.
Thanks for the links!
Congrats to Angie. :-)
Congrats to Angie!!!
Kat, if you want to email me, perhaps I can give you some additional promo ideas. :D
hugs
Congrats to Angie! And thanks for all the links, Kat. I'll definitely check Ocean out.
Wow! LOL, I couldn't have been farther off in my guess I don't think. Perhaps, I should practice... OOH! Do you think they have a class in this? Jelly Bean Counting 101? hahaha
Looks like I have some sites to visit :D
Janna - it's a really wonderful magazine
Kimmi - I will!
Haw -Jenn I had to figure out a number, so what I did was painstakingly count the jelly beans that showed in the image, then click on the "calculator" on my window's vista, and then multiply the number by whatever I can't remember that I figured out made up all sides of - or something like that, then I asked Good Man Roger...does this sound like the right amount of jelly beans? since he's all analytical and all and I'm not! laugh...
I mean, I probably would have guess liked 1000 or some ridiculous number *laugh*
Minus two...? Holy bejesus, I think I'd never leave my house! It's a good thing I live in the South!
Laughing - I'm in the south, too -well, except my Louisiana friends and my family in Texas called me a yankee! I said YANKEE - I'm in North Carolina!*laughing*
it's not always this cold - but sure is now.
I love that you put excerpts on here. I am looking forward to reading it. I have to say I read those and go... Wow, that's good. I'm not that good. Oh lord, I'm in trouble. LOL!
Liking LibraryThing!
Sharla - Library Thing is pretty cool - I signed up to be an "early reviewer" and just went in and selected some books - not sure if I'll get them though!
-2 that's it?
