Odyssey . . .

Daddy and me
From my Facebook Page-- My brother and I are on an Odyssey of sorts, left Texas and headed in a northwestern direction, then we'll go in a north or southeastern direction where he will eventually take me back home to NC and he'll go back to TX. We will visit one place that has special meaning regarding our dad. But for now, we are in Arkansas somewhere. It's as if we are nearing the event horizon of a black hole, there's that place where time seems to stop, even if it hasn't really. I am so appreciative of all of your thoughts/prayers/mail/everything. Off we go again soon. Will be back again later. ♥

Breathtaking handsome, and you were cute as a button as a kid (no surprise there!). Enjoy your special journey with your brother. I've no doubt your dad is with you in spirit.

Make that, "Breathtakingly." (Yes, we writers freak over mistakes. Love you!!)

Hi Kat .. the most important thing now is the tranquillity and peace as you both adjust again .. enjoy your journey together - that's lovely that you are both together .. with many thoughts .. Hilary

Kat, I'm sorry to hear about your father. Certainly glad you had those last days with him. Take all the time you need. Prayers and hugs.

My brother and I took the same type of journey after my mom died. We didn't have to go outside North Carolina, but we visited all the places we remembered visiting so often with our parents when we were young.

We did have some funny moments, as I'm sure you and your brother will have. One of our experiences has become legend in our family. We relied on our childhood memories to get us to a place out in the country. We kept making wrong turns and passed by the same house where a man was rocking on his porch. When we passed the third time I insisted my brother stop and ask directions. When my brother got out of the car, the old man quipped, "Lost, ain't ye?" To which my brother replied, "Yessir, we surely are."

Great pics and I think that you look like your Dad. So glad that you are with your brother, right now and hope that you have a safe journey home. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Marguerite

May this journey bring you comfort and peace, and enough love to hold you through the days ahead.
