my Kindle - pants on maybe |
I finally downloaded some books on Kindle, and began reading one last night. I never thought I'd like it as much as I do, but, I will also say there is a quality missing from it that only print books give me. I will continue to buy print books, of course. Still . . . it's kind of cool . . . ungh . . . dang.
What about you all? Have a Kindle yet? What do you think about it?

This morning I almost walked out of my house without pants on. Yep. I have been so distracted and discombobulated that I thought I put on my pants and went to open the door to go on my cove walk and something felt wrong - haw haw! Um, Kat! Put on your danged ole pants. If I don't get this book written soon, I may exit the house Nekkid!
My pea-headed brain thinks it may be time to cut back this blog to once or twice a week. I know how saturated we all can feel with blogs and facebook and twitter, and, doesn't seem fair if I keep churning out posts and want you to come read when I can hardly ever get me arse over to your blogs anymore!
What about y'all? You thinking of cutting back? Or have you? Would you "forget" a blog that only posts once or twice a week, or would that help you with your own time and visiting?
new coon that's come visiting - he's dark with silver - never had one quite this color, purrrrrdy-he's not wearing pants |
walking on Riddle Cove Road sorta down behind us-but with pants on :-D haw! |
Am I boring you all? Would you like to see a change? Or do you think my chaos is just fine? Do you wonder if I'm wearing pants right now? (yes I am -haw haw!)

I love Calving & Hobbes - isn't this just how we wish we could be? this confident? Sometimes we have to fake it to make it, as the cliche goes, right? Sometimes we just need to feel this danged good about ourselves. Let's start our own "WE RAWK" club.
wish I had an old typewriter like this! Writing, with pants on |
Now that I've shared my Monday Chaos, I'm off to sit on the porch--with pants on--and work on VK III.

Funny. I just blogged (but not posted yet) about liking my Nook better than books. The pants thing... I'm a jammie pants gal. Haven't left home without 'em but have gone shopping in them :)
Hah! You're asking the Burnout Queen? I'm hoping to get The Turtle moving again, one of these days -- and I hope I'll have the sense to post only once or twice a week. Perhaps, that way, I'll be able to keep blogging. I did enjoy it, you know?
Oops. This isn't about me -- but if you are feeling at all overwhelmed, Kat, then reducing the frequency of your posts would be a sensible move, I think. As long as you don't stop writing about VK! :D
I want to be a member of the We Rawk Club, please, but only if we start our rawking meetings like Calvin & Hobbes do (my personal fave cartoon). I Rawk
You Rawk
We All Rawk
YAY!!!

stop to have a look see, so often leave full of chuckles n grit
Oh, my! You do make me smile.
I have been struggling to write my blog and visit others just lately. I like your schedule at the top of this blog. I might consider doing the same. It can become overwhelming.
Enjoy your week!
Yeah, it's when one feels an extra "breeze" ... and with fear ... slowly ... looks ... down. Been there! Whahahahaha! Okay ... here's my secret ... don't tell anyone (lol) ... once, in Florida, I just got a little fed up with "restrictions" and ALL underthingies got tossed out of a rented convertible. Ever wonder how certain pieces of clothing find their way to the freeway? Now you know! :-)
Oh ... by the way ... the undies were "green".
I think you should do what works for you. Cutting back doesn't mean we'll cut back our luv!
Thanks for your generous comment! I'm polishing up a Christmas story for a chapbook. Self-publish for Sept. and have an editor. Want book in hand, then upload to Kindle. LOOOve my Kindle!
I've never not had pants on when I've required them...... I think I would be too cold and drafty to ignore that. Get that book done so you can get back to medium crazy levels! :O)
Ha ha ha! it was very smart start your post then yet you know how to write blogs for attractive to other people.
I thought was when you have put back your pant on lol!
Ashame no photos:-)
It has been not easy for me to post blog that make sure not boring post?
Enjoy your week,
Michiko
At least you figured out you didn't have those pants on. hee hee.
I've found that I've been doing way too much. I'm trying to cut back, but prioritizing what needs to be cut is so hard! Ugh!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Kindle! And I thought I'd miss being able to touch the pages, but I like the convenience of being able to pick up whatever book I want & purchase it at any time of night or day without leaving the house.
Put ya' pant on, girlie! I almost left the house with just a bra on once. I was dressed, except I was waiting for a blouse to come out of the dryer...I walked into the living room and said to my hubby, let's go! I'm ready! Magic Man promptly responded without missing a beat, "ALRIGHT! LET'S GO!!!"
Kat you make me laugh more often than I have in a good long time! Pants, schmants....keep on enjoying life as much as you are today! Hugs, Linda.
Hi Kat,
I feel like you about writing "how to write posts". I enjoy your blog and would continue to read it once or twice a week. We are all pushed to the limit these days. I promise myself I will not overwhelm myself with plans, but still my calendar has no blank places. Let's slow down and enjoy this beautiful spring.
Beautiful blog and beautiful images!
Ha! Always trying to get Nekkid. LOL
Yep, I've cut to once a week and I'm loving it. I have this one day I devote to "visiting" and it works great. Much less pressure and more time for writing. :-)
I can't believe you're falling in love with an e-reader though. *sniffle*
You are so funny! I'll come here no matter how often you post. I'll be cutting back to once a week sometime this summer probably, and stay there once back at work in the fall.
I love reading your chaos - one of the things that kept me coming back to your blog before I knew you was how real you were about your experience as a new author. As someone who hopes to travel your path soon, it's helpful to see how one writer feels about her life.
Besides, you also need to write what you feel like here. Especially since you're not exactly in control of VK (because she clearly drives that bus). :-)
Hi! You have a great blog that I've just discovered as a result of having won the Versatile Blogger award. So I'm paying it forward. Congratulations! You're now a winner too!

I have already cut back-- it seems we get to the point where the more blogs the read, the harder it gets and I need that time to write:) I will always enjoy your posts even if I don't comment:))
