Plagiarist Information

I normally post on MWF's - but I think this should be passed along - -

I am posting links here to information on a plagiarist. I generally do not worry about plagiarism of my work; however, sometimes there is a jerk out there who sticks his nasty stinky dirty finger in other writers' and artists' pies. I've seen information on this at Rick's blog The Writer and The White Cat, and on
Writer Beware with Victoria Strauss. So I am passing it along to you.

Those blogs I linked to above are trusted sites who are talking about the plagiarist, not plagiarists themselves - just to make sure I'm clear on that!

Visit both of these blogs and read . . . particularly if you write in the horror genre.

Thank you to Maria-Thérèse ~ www.afiori.com for the hint on how to have your links open in a new page. Now, if only blogspot would make it even easier by allowing us to check a box instead of having to this:

click edit in html mode. Type in

target="_blank"
after the a href link.

That's kind of scary. Thanks for the links Kathryn.

Much appreciated!
I think every writer worries about this. Especially when 'everyone' wants to read your work. Still, I can't believe people are actually stupid enough to try it.

Theft has been going for eons and will probably go for ever. Some get caught and punished but it doesn't stop for so many do not get caught.

Short of tying them to a pole and skinning them and draping them with eau du polecat, it is one of the things a person in the public eye has to deal with, maddening as it is.

It is one of the things I fully expect and is part of life, not much control over.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. I'd never heard of these blogs and have no intention of allowing them to enter my world. There's no difference between plagerism and stealing from a bank.

I hope your mag contest went well. I got so frustrated with Blogger I finally posted without linking to your contest. SORRY! Hope I can find a way to involve your mag later; it's a cause near and dear to my heart.

My computer's back from the spa, a settings glitch. What a week that was!!

It is a sad fact this goes on. I found out a 'writing friend' of 3 yrs was a plagiarist. It really stank.

Thanks for the info.
